Our Commitment

The safety and wellbeing of children is our top priority. West Lancashire HAF Programme is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people participating in our activities.

Staff and Volunteers

All our staff and volunteers:

  • Hold Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks
  • Receive safeguarding training
  • Follow strict safeguarding procedures
  • Are qualified and experienced in working with children

Safe Environment

We ensure a safe environment by:

  • Maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios
  • Conducting risk assessments for all activities
  • Following health and safety guidelines
  • Implementing clear behavior policies
  • Providing supervision at all times

Partnership Working

We work closely with local safeguarding partnerships, schools, and other agencies to ensure the best possible protection for children. All our safeguarding practices comply with current legislation and guidance.
